Girls from a school in Ilkley are through to the finals of a national music competition after impressing judges with their band.
The Moorfield School Swing Band will take on 25 other groups from across the country in the finals of the National Festival of Music for Youth competition in July.
The band won the regional heats in Harrogate and will now head to Birmingham for the finals in the Infant/Junior category.
The competition began with about 55,000 children across the UK entering in the initial stages in bands, choirs, orchestras and other musical ensembles.
A spokesman for the independent school said: “We are absolutely delighted with the comments we have received from the adjudications so far, and all the girls are really excited.”
