A sailing club is celebrating after receiving a cash boost.
Otley Sailing Club has been given help in funding its Sailability Sailing Sessions for the coming season through donations of £1,000 from NG Bailey, in Ilkley, and £2,000 from the Heating & Ventilation Contractors Association (HVCA).
The money from NG Bailey was raised through the employees’ charity fund and the cash from the HVCA came from the annual Yorkshire Regional Ball and Prizegiving.
The Sailability programme was established to encourage people with disabilities to take up sailing. Club bosses said the donations would help it provide up to 1,000 sailing sessions in the coming year for people with all ranges of disability.
