Flash cars were the subject of study to improve the writing skills of boys at Blakehill Primary School, in Idle, Bradford, yesterday.
Head teacher Trevor Patterson took the morning assembly in a Jeremy Clarkson mask to introduce his pupils to the day’s ‘Top Gear’ theme.
Bradford-based motor company JCT600 sent a Porsche along and children wrote reviews and produced radio adverts about cars.
Helen Hall, the school’s literacy co-ordinator, said: “We have been trying to improve writing standards and we particularly wanted to get the boys writing.
“The theme was designed to enthuse the boys about something they are interested in.”
