Youngsters hosted a cake sale to raise funds for the Whitby lifeboat after learning about the east coast in their geography lessons.
The pupils at Lady Lane Park School, Bingley, have taken the money they raised for the RNLI to Whitby and presented it to the lifeboat crew.
Head teacher Gill Wilson said: “They baked the cakes, they persuaded friends to bake cakes, they organised it, made the posters and then sold the cakes.
“They do quite a lot of work in their geography lessons about the east coast and the dangers of the coast.
“It is quite special to them. They had a tour of the lifeboat and learned about how it all works.”
