Villagers are raising a glass to Wilsden’s first beer festival.
Funds from the event on Saturday, June 4, will go towards refurbishing the village hall’s main room and buying a fold-away stage.
Village Hall manager Julie Petty said: “It’s a first for the village and has only been made possible by all our lovely businesses who’ve sponsored a barrel of guest ale each.”
There are ten guest ales, all being supplied from the Old Bear Brewery in Keighley, and for non-beer drinkers there will be cider, wines and soft options. There will be sessions from 11am to 3pm and 5pm to 11pm. In the evening there will be entertainment from Thwaites Brow band – The Beer Barrel Boys.
Mrs Petty said: “We’re hoping it’s going to be such a success that it’ll become an annual highlight of the village year.”
