A reunion day is being held tomorrow for young people and their families who have attended the Clockhouse Respite Centre in Keighley.
Former staff are also invited to the centre, in Oakworth Road, which provides short respite breaks for people with disabilities and complex health needs aged nine to 17.
Joanne Slaven, the Clockhouse Centre manager, said: “This centre gives young people a change of routine, provides their families with a break from their caring role and is a social opportunity for them to make friends and develop greater independence.”
She said one of the aims of the event was to introduce previous users of the centre to those about to leave.
Councillor Ralph Berry, portfolio holder for children and young people, said: “We hope this event will help them cope with the challenge of entering adulthood.”
