CCTV images have been released by police hoping to trace a man in connection with what they described as a “suspicious incident” in Brighouse.
An 18-year-old woman was approached by an older man near a school in the town, police said.
The man is alleged to have followed her and spoken to her before grabbing her shoulder. The woman then walked away and was not injured.
Officers are keen to speak to an elderly woman who was standing near the man at a bus stop in Halifax Road before the incident, which happened on Thursday, May 5, at about 11.30am.
The man is described as aged 50 to 60, white, 5ft 11ins to 6ft, well-built with thin brown and grey hair combed back. He was wearing a pale yellow jacket and brown trousers.
Officers in the Lower Valley Neighbourhood Policing Team have stepped up patrols in the area.
Any witnesses are asked to ring police on (0845) 6060606 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on (0800) 555111.
