Pupils at a Shipley school were delighted to receive bikes for completing a 100 per cent attendance challenge.
Four children at High Crags Primary in Pratt Lane were presented with bikes from Ellis Briggs Cycles, in Otley Road, Shipley, after being selected at random from a number of pupils who had 100 per cent attendance over seven weeks.
Toni Andrews, pastoral manager at the school, said three of the bikes were bought with funds from the Local Achievement Partnership for Shipley, while the fourth was paid for by the school.
The pupils who won the bikes were Thomas O’Neill, four, Daniel Roberts, seven, Joshua Foster, eight, and Bethanie Tomlinson, 11.
Mrs Andrews said: “The children were very pleased – that’s why they brought the bikes in to school, to show everybody that they can achieve things.”
