Green fingered volunteers at Yorkshire Water have created an outdoor learning space for youngsters at Peel Park Primary School, Bradford.
The team of employees from the Bradford-based business and sister company Loop Customer Management installed a polytunnel for growing vegetables and restored the school’s dipping pond.
The work, which was carried out as part of Yorkshire Water’s One Million Green Fingers scheme, also saw them lay a new path and plant shrubs around the pond.
Team leader Nadia Hussain, who works for Loop’s commercial debt department, said: “The school have wanted to have an enhanced outdoor learning area for some time and we are delighted to be able to provide them with the volunteers to build it.”
