Nick Clegg said his “town hall” style question and answer session in Bradford was one of the best he had taken part in.
The Deputy Prime Minister today met with 60 Telegraph & Argus readers at the Kala Sangam centre near Bradford Cathedral to answer questions as part of his “meet and greet” the public campaign.
If he was expecting to deliver a rousing call to arms for Thursday’s referendum on the Alternative Vote, which Mr Clegg is leading the charge for, he was disappointed.
But he said he was delighted about that: “The quality and quantity of questions was especially good here in Bradford. I really mean that.
“I’ve been to some meetings which are just about political point-scoring but this was the fullest discussion of different issues I have dealt with.”
