A 95-year-old woman has had her wedding rings stolen by callous sneak thieves who targeted the Bradford house where she has lived for half a century.

Marian Davey found two men in the living room of her home in Ventnor Street, Barkerend.

Mrs Davey asked them what they were doing and they told her there had been a gas explosion and they needed to check her central heating.

The pair, who were young, left the house and when Mrs Davey went upstairs she found the bedroom had been ransacked.
