Detectives have charged a 33-year-old man with the murder of Bradford teenager Beena Bhatt.
Til Bahadur Rana has also been charged with wounding Miss Bhatt’s 43-year-old mother, during the same incident at a city centre flat almost two weeks ago.
Rana was charged with both offences yesterday afternoon and was due to appear before Bradford magistrates today.
Miss Bhatt, 18, died in Bradford Royal Infirmary from stab wounds following an incident at a third floor flat in Landmark House, Broadway, Bradford, at about 2.30pm on Friday, April 8.
Her mother suffered minor injuries in the incident and was treated at hospital.
Rana was detained in hospital for more than a week after also suffering injuries. He was arrested after his release on Tuesday.
