Ronwen Mitchell
Aire Valley District Scouts presented a Silver Acorn award to Ronwen Mitchell, 8th Bingley Cub leader, in recognition of her especially distinguished service to Scouting.
She has been the driving force behind her Scout group for the last 35 years and put a lot of hard work into raising more than £40,000 to re-build her group’s headquarters.
Long service awards were also given to Alison Baldwin, 15 years’ service, Joy Smith, 20 years’ service, Tony Bower, 25 years’ service, Karen Wilkinson, 30 years’ service, and district chairman Richard Nicholas, for 40 years’ service.
