Bradford schoolboy Freddie Butterfield has landed a role in a new television drama about two angels on Earth.
Freddie, eight, of Thornton is playing a character called Hall Barker in Eternal Law, a six-part ITV drama set in York.
Described as a “bittersweet, uplifting drama”, it focuses on Zak and Tom, two angels sent to help a community and try to understand the human condition.
Taking on the roles of lawyers, they attempt to influence humans to do right by one another, but things don’t always go according to plan – particularly when they come up against old adversary and dark angel Richard Pembroke.
Freddie is a pupil at Stage 84 in Idle. “His role is described as an important one in the drama. He beat lots of young boys at auditions to get it,” said principal Valerie Jackson.
