The hunt is on for future kings and queens of the catwalk as the Bradford Modelsearch celebrates its tenth year spotting talent in the city.
The Kirkgate Centre competition, supported by the Telegraph & Argus, is offering budding models the chance to get their faces seen by scouts who will be in the city centre this Saturday.
They will be in the Kirkgate Centre and out and about in Bradford from 11am to 4pm.
And anyone who does not get hand-picked by a talent scout can take part by picking up an entry form at the Kirkgate Centre or filling in the form in today's T&A.
The competition, which is free to enter, is divided into four age categories – four to six, seven to ten, 11 to 15 and 16 plus.
A prize pot will be divided among eight winners and will include £500 worth of shopping vouchers.
Kirkgate Centre manager Catherine Riley said: “We are very excited about organising our Modelsearch event. It always brings the whole community together and it creates such a buzz on the heats and finals days.
“It could be you this year, so come and get spotted.”
Last year’s winners included 54-year-old Frank Sinatra impersonator Steve Long, Bradford College performing arts student Victoria Ingham, 18, Robert Volosyanko, nine, and ten-year-old Amber Cox.
Kathy Holdsworth, owner of the DK Model Agency which is supporting the Modelsearch, said: “From all the finalists of this year’s competition, we will potentially choose one male and one female to be represented by our agency.”
Entrants will be invited onto the catwalk at the heats on Sunday, May 15, from which the finalists will be selected. They will then return to the Kirkgate Centre on Bank Holiday Monday, May 30, for the final. The closing date for entries is Friday, May 6.
