Children and staff said ‘thank-you’ to their stalwart dinner supervisor for sticking with them for 30 years.
Sue Winning (pictured with pupils) started work at Ley Top Primary School, in 1981.
She joined the staff on a voluntary basis but she was soon asked to take a temporary job to cover another member of staff who was off ill.
She has been there ever since and now doubles up as a classroom assistant.
A keen gardener, staff clubbed together to present her with gardening shopping vouchers to show their appreciation.
Mrs Winning said: “I have really enjoyed working with all the children.
“No two days are the same and it has been a privilege to work with a great team of people over the years.”
