Knitters at an arts studio wrapped a 102-metre scarf round their ageing building to kick-start a £3,000 fundraising drive for its refurbishment.
Kirkgate Art and Crafts Studio in Shipley is hosting a series of events in the run-up to its 30th anniversary next year. Management at the centre hope to raise thousands to add to a grant of £27,000 to improve the warmth of visitors by making the studio more energy efficient.
A full refurbishment of the building, which will include re-locating offices and the reception area, is also expected to start in the summer.
The first fundraising activity will be a sale of craft materials on Saturday from 11am until 4pm.
Anyone who wants to book a stall should call the centre on (01274) 598928.
