Improvements to the traditional outdoor paddling pool on the edge of Ilkley Moor should be completed by Easter. Diggers have moved in to dredge the water feature and landscape the area off Wells Road.
The £5,000 project carried out by Bradford Council’s countryside service is funded by the Friends of Ilkley Moor through the Pennine Prospects Watershed Landscapes Project.
Improvements include a new inlet to speed up water flow, repairs to walls and painting the bottom a lighter colour to reflect heat and discourage plant growth.
