A Silsden woman is organising a ball to raise money for heart surgery at Leeds General Infirmary.
Jody Ellis, a leading light with Silsden All-Star Majorettes, is organising the June 4 event with her aunt and friends.
She said: “One of the reasons for this is because my cousin had heart surgery when he was a small baby.
“We wanted to raise money and awareness of the unit and even more now that they are wanting to move it to Newcastle.” The ball is at the Rendezvous Hotel in Skipton. Tickets cost £40 including a three-course meal, 11-piece band, disco, auction and raffle.
