Talented youngsters are rehearsing for a Valentine evening of entertainment in Otley.

Ilkley Literature Festival is organising a Hearts Club Night for 12 to 17-year-olds to be held at Otley Courthouse Arts Centre from 7.30pm on Friday, February 11.

The evening will feature young bands and comedians who write their own material and is supported by Otley Town Council and Skipton Building Society.

Organisers said they have been delighted with the number of creative people who wanted to take part and that only one slot remained for a band to perform. They are already taking bookings for the next club night in May.

Festival organiser Rachel Feldberg said: “Local teenagers are writing great songs and performance material and it’s very exciting to be able to give them a chance to perform for youngsters in the area.”
