Addingham Parish Council will choose a new chairman next month following the resignation of the previous chairman, Councillor Ian Taylor.
Coun Taylor gave up his seat due to work commitments days before last week’s meeting which was chaired by vice chairman, Councillor Catherine Coates.
She paid tribute to Coun Taylor’s work for the community. She said: “We’d like to express our gratitude to Ian for all his hard work over the last few years, for his contribution to the parish council and for everything else he’s done in the village.”
Coun Taylor only took on the role last year, when Councillor Alison Widdup stood down from the position.
