Work is being carried out to reduce the width of pavements near a school.
Sutton-in-Craven Parish Council had received complaints from residents upset that the new pavements on Holme Lane, near South Craven School, were not built to specification when they were installed last year.
The pavements were supposed to be 1.2 metres wide, but were actually 1.5 metres wide, which meant that vehicles were “catching” their wheels on the kerb.
North Yorkshire County Council is carrying out work to rectify the problem.
