Affective Solutions, based in Bradford, is an entrant in the New Business of the Year category.

Owner and sole employee Natalie Kershaw started the company in July 2010 after leaving her job as a business adviser with Bradford Chamber, and has also been nominated in the Woman in Business category.

She said: “I specialise in corporate, personal and well-being solutions using an holistic approach to take a 360-degree analysis of the business and/or individual.

“I use a variety of approaches to get the best out of the business and the people. I use training, coaching and well-being packages. However, at the very core of all of the approaches, I specialise in getting the best out of people.

“I use a humanistic approach – the individual knows their business the best, but if their mind is not in the right place, despite wanting to create a successful business or personal life, they will never achieve what they want, so that’s where I come in.

“I use NLP, coaching, training, Time Line Therapy and even hypnosis (all of which I am a Master Practitioner) to facilitate change.

“My motto is think big and go from there. I am now looking for premises in which to conduct my consultations and treatments because working at home is now no good for me.

“I am running various workshops throughout Bradford in a variety of skill areas. I have just been approved to join BNI (Business Network International); I’ve just been made a Fellow at the ICPD (The Institute for Counselling and Personal Development); I have been asked to be a mentor at Be Involved and a Board member of CNet, so I think that my reputation is beginning to speak for itself.”
