The challenge is on once again to find the bonniest baby in Bradford in this year’s Happy Tots.

The competition run by the Telegraph & Argus is an annual event.

Parents wanting to enter their little cuties into the contest need to go along to the Kirkgate Shopping Centre in Bradford city centre to get their youngsters photographed to be in with a chance of winning some great prizes.

The T&A has again teamed up with the shopping centre for this year’s competition.

The winner in each age category will get a framed portrait and the one overall winner will receive £500 of shopping vouchers to spend in the Kirkgate Centre.

Our photographer will be at the centre between 10am and 5pm, Monday to Saturday, from Monday, January 31 to Saturday, February 15 to take the happy snaps.

There are four age categories: up to six months, six to 12 months, one to two years and two to three years.

After the initial photograph session, parents of entrants need to come to the front counter of the Telegraph & Argus in Hall Ings at an arranged time to choose the picture they would like to appear in the newspaper.

And while choosing the best shot they will get the chance to buy copies too.

A photograph of each tot will then feature in the T&A and the public will vote for their favourite. The top three from each age group will go into the final for another public vote.

Last year’s winner was little Jake Clapham, who was all smiles after being crowned top tot.

His mum Kimberley Clapham, 18, of Welwyn Drive, Baildon, said she hoped her son, who celebrated his first birthday with news of winning the contest, would be able to get a modelling contract.

RULES: Employees of Newsquest Media Group, the Kirkgate Centre and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.

The editor’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. There is no cash alternative to the stated prizes.

It is a condition of entry that all winners make themselves available for any resulting publicity connected with this competition. The four age groups for the competition will be as follows: 0-6 months (any child born on or since August 12, 2010), 6-12 months (any child born on or between February 12, 2010, and August 11, 2010), 1-2 years (any child born on or between February 12, 2009, and February 11, 2010) and 2-3 years (any child born on or between February 12, 2008, and February 11, 2009).

Photographs are taken and entered into the T&A Happy Tots competition free of charge. Readers who would like photographs for their own purposes will be offered the opportunity to buy them.
