A man has been arrested after a nine-year-old girl was injured in a serious road accident in Barkerend Road, Bradford, last night.
A Proton Wira travelling along the road crashed into a parked Nissan Qashqai near the junction with Byron Street at 8.25pm.
The girl, who was a passenger in the Proton, was taken to Bradford Royal Infirmary and later transferred to Leeds General Infirmary. Police described her condition today as "serious but stable".
The driver of the car, a 53-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and driving while disqualified.
