Earlier this month we ran an appeal for a four-legged cast member for Buttershaw St Paul’s AODS’s production of the Cole Porter musical Anything Goes.
We’re now pleased to report that the society has found a suitable canine to appear alongside chairman Anne Tonks in the popular show. Following an audition, Sylvie (pictured with Anne), who lives in Eccleshill with the Peebles family, was picked for the role. Sylvie is a Bichon Frise/King Charles cross breed who has settled into her role with ease.
“It could be that Sylvie will steal the show, but nobody will complain because she’s such a cutie and appears to enjoy every minute of it,” says Anne.
- Anything Goes runs at St George’s Hall from Tuesday, January 25, to Saturday, January 29, at 7.15pm, with a 2.15pm Saturday matinee. For tickets, ring (01274) 432000.
