It’s panto time in Keighley! And, oh no I’m not going to write ‘Oh yes it is’. Darn it, I just did.
Keighley Amateurs present Red Riding Hood, and spokesman David Brett says it’s very much a traditional panto production.
“Our Red Riding Hood is very much traditional panto-style, given the Rundle and Marsden treatment, with all the familiar, well-loved characters,” says David.
“The emphasis is on comedy with the added colour and spectacle of lively dance routines performed by a large cast of youngsters.”
The cast is headed by Peter Whitley as Simple Simon and Steven Clark as Dame Grannie Hood, and the show is written by Geoffrey Rundle and Keith Marsden and directed by Keith Marsden and Patsy Peacock.
- Red Riding Hood runs at Victoria Hall, Keighley, from January 29 to February 5. For tickets, ring 08456 252550, from Fletchers Stationers, Cavendish Street, Keighley, or at keighleyamateurs.com.
