Psychologist Dr Elizabeth Milwain will be separating fact from myth about dementia at an awareness event in Shipley next month. Dr Milwain, who is a member of St Peter’s Church in Moorhead Lane, Shipley, and has been involved in dementia education since 2002, will be leading a presentation and a question and answer session on the challenges and realities of dementia at the church on Saturday, February 12, from 9.45am to noon. The event, hosted by the church’s the Reverend John Rainer, will be in three parts, starting with refreshments in aid of Dementia UK’s Admiral Nurses, then the presentation at 10.30am followed by the question and answer session at 11.15am.The Encountering Dementia morning is being organised by St Peter’s and Shipley Christians Together.
