Police are hoping to start a Faith Watch in Frizinghall, Bradford, to encourage people of all faiths to work together to reduce crime and drug dealing in the area.
Faith Watch is a partnership where the faith communities, including mosque and church leaders, come together to help prevent crime in and around faith buildings.
Religious buildings have been targeted by criminals, with more than 100 metal thefts in West Yorkshire in six months.
Faith Watch representatives can help in reducing the opportunity for crime to occur and improve awareness about prevention, as well as becoming part of a wider faith community network and improving understanding of other faiths and concerns.
