Life is a cabaret for a Bradford charity turning the spotlight on mental health.
Coronation Street star Steve Huison, who plays Eddie Windass in the TV soap, is turning his talents to staging quarterly fundraising cabarets in Saltaire.
The first is on Friday, February 4, and there are 150 tickets to sell.
Funds from the event at Caroline Street Social Club at 8pm will go towards opening the UK’s first Soteria house.
The house would be a safe place where young people recovering from mental distress would be able to stay, helped by trained volunteers.
Mr Huison said: “Funds are coming in. It’s been a little slow going but we are getting there. We thought the cabarets would be a good idea if we could put them on quarterly.
“The one in February will be a good night. It’ll be little bit retro and lots of fun. Depending on schedules, I’m hoping some of the Corrie lot will be there. We’re expecting it to be a sell-out.”
Tickets cost £7.50 and can be bought in advance either from soterianetwork.org.uk or soon at Fanny’s Ale House in Saltaire.
