More than 20 schools across Bradford district have been shut this afternoon because of heavy snowfall and un-gritted roads and paths causing hazards to pupils and staff.
Hanson School in Undercliffe, Bradford and Dixons Academy in Allerton and Queensbury School were the only secondary schools to close.
The head teachers of 19 primary schools in the district decided to close early following the snow fall.
They are: Barkerend Primary School. Carrwood Primary School in Tong; Denholme Primary, Farfield Primary School in Holme Wood; Fearnville Primary School in Barkerend; Grove House Primary School, Holme Farm Primary School in Queensbury, Poplars Farm Primary School in Undercliffe; Princeville Primary School, Reevy Hill Primary School, Sandy Lane Primary School, Shirley Manor Primary School in Wyke; Southmere Primary School in Great Horton; St Anthony's Primary School in Windhill; St Joseph's Primary School in Bingley; St Paul's CE Primary School in Wibsey; Stanbury Village School, Thorp Primary School in Idle and Worth Valley School in Keighley.
Nine schools were partially closed to students, most from about 1pm today.
They are: Brackenhill Primary School in Great Horton; Cavendish Primary School in Eccleshill; Chellow Heights Special School in Heaton; Delius Special School in Barkerend; Girlington Primary School; St Oswald's CE Primary School in Great Horton; Thackley Primary School, The Holy Family Catholic School in Keighley and Wibsey Primary School.
Leeds Bradford Airport was closed and passengers were being advised to check with their airlines.
Buses were also being affected and the following ervices were affected.
