Buttershaw St Paul’s Amateur Operatic Dramatic Society is looking for a small dog to appear in its forthcoming production of Anything Goes.
Society chairman Anne Tonks, who plays the wealthy American debutante’s mother Evangeline Harcourt, says: “We need a small, well-behaved, long-haired lap dog to star as Cheeky, which can be carried on and off stage and is of a friendly nature and not averse to hearing singing!
“We’re currently rehearsing with an obedient soft toy, but would like a real canine for the show.”
Anyone who has a suitable dog is asked to ring (01274) 413255. The dog must be available for some rehearsals, and for the run of Anything Goes, on at St George’s Hall from Tuesday, January 25, to Saturday, January 29. Tickets are available from (01274) 432000.
