Volunteers and fundraisers at Kirkgate Studios and Workshop enjoyed a party to raise money for heating for the building.
Studio manager Joy Hart said the building, in Kirkgate, Shipley, was “freezing”.
Miss Hart said the studio had put in an application with grant distributors Wren for £26,000, but needed to raise £3,000 itself.
She said: “We have been trying to raise some funding to get some heating put in.”
The studio recently received a grant of £5,000 from the National Grid after it asked residents on a street disrupted by roadworks to where it would like the money to go.
Miss Hart said that money was to be spent insulating and putting in double-glazing in one of the coldest rooms.
The party was held to say thank you to volunteers who have helped to raise £900.
