Police have been searching snow-covered Ilkley Moor for a 66-year-old man who has been missing since Monday.
Officers spent today scouring the moorland for John Durkin after the alarm was raised.
The search continued until darkness fell and is set to resume tomorrow.
Police have urged people, including ramblers out on the popular beauty spot, to look out for Mr Durkin.
He is described as white, about 5ft 7ins tall, with grey hair. He might be wearing a heavy green jacket and dark trousers. He has a tattoo of an eagle on his left arm.
Detective Inspector Ryan Bragg, of Airedale and North Bradford Police, said: “We do have concerns for Mr Durkin due to the cold weather and his health and would ask him, or anyone who sees him, either on the moor or elsewhere, to contact us as a matter of urgency.”
Anyone who has information about Mr Durkin’s whereabouts should contact Airedale and North Bradford CID on 0845 60 60 606.
