A scout leader has been honoured for giving 50 years service.
Neil Tillotson has spent his whole scouting life with the 1st Kildwick and Farnhill Troop.
He said: “I wouldn’t have missed it for the world.”
His milestone coincided with the troop’s 70th anniversary, so a joint celebration was held at its headquarters on Colne Road, Glusburn.
Mr Tillotson, 68, said: “We now wear long trousers, instead of short pants, and we no longer wear berets. But, in essence, the organisation has not changed very much at all.”
