The Moscow City Ballet will be brightening up the new year in Bradford, with its production of The Nutcracker.
The company, regarded as an enduring example of a genuine, high-quality Russian touring ballet, is making its first visit to Bradford, accompanied by the Moscow Ballet Orchestra.
The sumptuous production of Tchaikovsky’s ballet features gorgeous costumes and enchanting sets.
Moscow City Ballet was formed in 1988 by distinguished Russian choreographer Victor Smirnov-Golovanov. An acclaimed former soloist of the Bolshoi Ballet, Smirnov-Golovanov enjoys bringing his heritage of classical ballet in the Moscow style to audiences around the world. The company has some of the world’s most accomplished soloists, and a sublime corps de ballet, all trained in the best traditions of the Russian school.
