Residents have clubbed together to win the battle of the biggest Christmas tree in Ilkley.
A towering 21ft pine has been installed in the atrium of Wells House, thanks to its management committee and subscriptions from apartment owners.
It was transported to the former college and hotel, which has been turned into flats, by a tractor and trailer from a local farm.
A 19ft tree had been put up in the foyer of the Craiglands Hotel in Ilkley, but the Wells House tree beat it into second place for height.
Wells House resident Chris Barnard said the end result was stunning and they were really pleased.
She said: “To dress it, we have to use a ladder and a fishing rod with a hook on the end to reach the top. It’s a very high atrium so we need a big tree.”
