Volunteers manned Skipton’s Sense shop and organised an online auction of goods to raise at least £3,000 for the charity.
Staff from Lombards, a financial services company based in Leeds, took over Sense charity shops throughout the UK for one day and tried to sell as much as they possibly could. They also collected their own goods to sell and handed out mulled wine to shoppers.
Shop manager Wendy Harrison said: “It has been a fantastic day. The volunteers have been all over Skipton promoting the shop. I want to say thank you to everyone who took part.”
