The latest annual reunion of Bradford groups who first performed more than half a century ago is being held this month.

The first Bradford rock ’n’ roll reunion was held in the 1990s at the Pile Bar in Lilycroft Road. This year’s reunion for the groups who first played in and after 1958 is at the Hilton Hotel.

Organiser Garth Cawood said: “The city has undergone many changes to date, but music from that era has lived on.”

Headlining the concert is guitarist Richard Harding. In 1957 Richard joined Mick Sagar and The Tennaseans. Following a name change to The Cresters, their recording of Deep Feeling became a chart-topper in 1960.

“Richard will be back on stage with Mike Sagar and other Bradford groups who, in the late 1950s and early 60s, provided the live rock ’n’ roll dance music for the city’s teenagers,” said Garth.

The line-up also includes Mel Clark, Drew Charles, Kenny Fowler, Andy Greaves, Dougie Lamb and Sammy King. The DJ will be Bradford Dude.

The reunion is on Friday, November 19, from 7.30pm. Tickets are available from Dave Metcalf on 0780 6072347. For more details call Mr Cawood, during office hours, on (01274) 619832.
