The third and final stage of work on Pudsey’s new bus station was due to start this weekend.
During this stage of the project, the traffic flow around the Market Place will be reversed and some bus stopping arrangements will be changed.
All services using stands T1 and T2, currently in the Market Place, are scheduled to be relocated into the new bus station from Sunday, September 12, when the third stage of the work is due to start.
Bus services will continue to use stop P4, outside the library, and stop T3, outside the Post Office, in Church Lane as normal.
Posters and leaflets about the changes have been produced and details are available from Metro’s website.
The new £2.5m Pudsey Bus Station, due to be completed in November, will be a facility in line with Metro’s other award-winning West York-shire bus stations.
The fully accessible station will include an enclosed waiting area, real-time departure information and CCTV monitored 24 hours a day.
