Sporting celebrities in Bradford will be entertaining guests at a charity lunch next month.
Bradford’s Marie Curie Hospice is to hold its first fundraising sports lunch in the city with Geoff Miller, chairman of the England cricket selectors as guest speaker.
The event on Friday, September 24, is being run by the hospice’s Ambassadorial Board, a group of business representatives who raise funds for the charity.
Alan Wintersgill, chairman of the Ambassadorial Board, said: “We are delighted to get sponsorship from Barclays Corporate and Sovereign Health Care. We are now pulling out all the stops to ensure we sell hundreds of tickets.”
Comedian Kevin Connelly and television sports commentator John Helm will also be at the event.
Tickets cost £40 each and can be booked through the hospice’s fundraising office or (01274) 337035 or by emailing tracy.calcraft@ mariecurie.org.uk.
