Heritage rail operator The Railway Touring Company has lined up an impressive cast of steam locomotives, including former LMS engine Leander to haul its train, The Waverley, with departures from Shipley and Keighley on Sundays until September 5.
The specials over the Settle and Carlisle line are named after the former steam-hauled service between London St Pancras and Edinburgh Waverley.
Passengers will be able to leave the train at Appleby for the afternoon, or stay on board to visit Carlisle before returning to Yorkshire by steam.
Tickets for The Waverley start at £65 and there is a dining option. For details and reservations, contact The Railway Touring Company on (01553) 661500 or visit railwaytouring.co.uk.
