People and events in Skipton and Carleton in the 18th and 19th centuries will be the focus of a ‘tea and history’ event at St Mary’s Church, Carleton.
There will be two sessions – one on Sunday looking at the period between 1775 and 1835 and the second on Sunday, August 22, when attention will turn to the years 1845 to 1888.
The sessions will be led by local historian Susan Wrathmell, who will give a talk at 2.45pm each day, followed by a village walk at 3.15pm.
There will also be a display of archive material and pictures and cream teas will be served.
Donations of £5 per adult are invited for church funds.
