Staff at a private nursery in Cottingley are celebrating a near-flawless inspection report.
Kiddi-Creche Private Day Nursery, in Cottingley New Road, has been graded ‘outstanding’ in 16 of the 17 areas inspected by education watchdog Ofsted.
The report notes that “overall the quality of the provision is outstanding”.
Exceptionally robust systems are in place to promote the welfare needs of children and superb attention is given to develop its children.
The nursery is open 51 weeks a year and is staffed by a team of 25. Some 37 children are enrolled there.
Marie Lister, who runs the nursery, said: “We are over the moon.
“We have worked really hard and obviously that has paid off. It’s been a whole team effort. A lot of our staff have been with us for a long time and they have had their work recognised. We know our parents are happy but we have that official badge now.”
