Bradford today says farewell to its very own silver-surfing legend Ivy Bean who passed away in the early hours aged 104.
She died peacefully in her sleep at Hillside Manor residential home in Barkerend where she has lived for the past three years.
Mrs Bean, who has thousands of Twitter and Facebook followers across the world including celebrities, died after a short illness.
She briefly opened her eyes yesterday when her Number 1 celebrity fan Peter Andre phoned her but passed away at 12.08 today.
Already tributes including those from Stephen Fry and John Prescott are flooding onto the web.
John Precott said: "So sad to hear Ivy Bean has died. An Inspiration to tweeters young and old and proof you don't have to stop learning at 65."
