A fleet of bicycles have been awarded to a star pupil in each year group at a Bradford primary school.
Eight children at All Saints’ Church of England Primary School, in Little Horton Green, were awarded a set of wheels after their names were picked out of a prize draw of pupils who had recorded flawless weekly attendance.
On every Friday through the school year pupils who recorded perfect attendance each week were given a golden ticket to go into the draw.
The bikes were donated by businesses.
Head teacher Sue Hart said the prizes were a worthy reward for the pupils who contributed to the school recording its highest ever attendance in an academic year.
Pupils achieved an average attendance of 95.3 per cent.
Mrs Hart said: “This is a fantastic achievement due to a range of initiatives.”
