The young friends of little orphan Annie will be played by children from Bradford theatre school Stage 84 when the production comes to the Alhambra next month.
Rehearsals for the show were beginning today with a visit from the production’s London-based choreographer.
School principal Valerie Jackson said: “They have asked us to supply the orphans which is a wonderful opportunity for the young girls, who are aged between seven and 12.
“They are really excited about it and really looking forward to starting rehearsals and performing on the Alhambra stage.”
The Stage 84 students are also gearing up for their production of Footloose, which will also be on at the Alhambra, on Monday, October 18.
Annie will run in Bradford from Tuesday, August 24, to Saturday, August 28.
