An adaption of classic film Brief Encounter is steaming in to Bradford.
Tour de Force Theatre Company, in association with Theatre Of The Dales, presents a double bill of Noel Coward plays Mild Oats and Still Life, which were turned into David Lean’s classic movie, Brief Encounter.
Mild Oats is described as “a funny, charming and touching piece about a couple who have just met on a railway bridge. Then he brings her back to his flat…”
In Still Life, an intense relationship begins when Laura gets something in her eye in a railway station tea room.
The cast consists of two actresses, Yorkshire-born Sonia Beck and Jessica Sandry, and actor Adrian Metcalfe, and there are live renditions of the famous Rachmaninov 2 score by concert pianist David Dossett.
The production is on at Bradford Playhouse, Little Germany, on August 12. For tickets, ring (01274) 820666.
