The singing session will be split into half-hours and is expected to take 42 hours.
The event will mark the centenary of the 1910 Edinburgh World Missionary Conference, the forerunner of the modern ecumenical movement.
The Mission Praise marathon will take place at the church in Victoria Road on Thursday, August 26, 7pm to 10pm; Friday, August 27, 10am to 7pm; Saturday, August 28, 10.30am to 8pm; Sunday, August 29, 10.30am to 7.30pm, and Monday, August 30, 9am to 5.30pm.
