Staff and pupils at Blakehill Primary School have said goodbye to deputy head teacher Lynn Wright after 20 years service.
Mrs Wright, 59, of Baildon, has taken retirement to spend more time with her children and grandson, and to satisfy her wanderlust by heading off to travel in the UK and abroad.
She became deputy of the school, in Idle, Bradford, in 1995 and has worked under three different head teachers. She has taught at schools in the local area for more than 30 years.
Before breaking up for the summer holidays, children performed in a surprise talent show for her.
Colleague Helen Hall said: “She’s been a very popular and well-respected teacher with parents and children. She’s always been the one to go the extra mile for the children.”
